Jill’s experience working in adoption as a social worker, her work as an emergency first responder for 19 years, and her work as a crisis clinician in the hospital setting, has given her insight into the effects and consequences of trauma, attachment and challenging life circumstances. Through these experiences she has been inspired by the amazing human potential for resiliency and healing.  Jill works in partnership with her clients to support their innate ability to learn and grow through life’s challenges.

Jill is a mother of 3 with her partner of 20 years.  She is also an adoptee. Her combined education, work and life experiences contributed to who she is as a genuine, and compassionate counsellor.

Jill's approach to counselling includes: EMDR (trauma processing see www.emdr.com/frequent-questions), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Attachment focused therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Gottman Couples Therapy, mindfulness and Brené Brown's Daring Wayâ„¢ Program facilitator.
